For most of her professional life in the advertising industry, Elsa has looked at the world through her clients' perspectives. But when she picks up a camera, she is able to see her surroundings through her own lens, both literally and figuratively.

Her constant exposure to creative work as the co-owner of an ad agency awakened in Elsa the desire to do her own. She took up photography in earnest about fifteen years ago. She has studied with noted photographers and teachers Julia Dean, Tony Sweet, Jim Zuckerman and others and is a graduate of the Rocky Mountain School of Photography.

and people. Her trips to Europe, and to Morocco especially, resulted in some extraordinarily interesting images. 

Drawn to compositions featuring lines, patterns and/or other elements of design,, Elsa has become fascinated with creating abstract images that leave much to the imagination of the viewer. She has a discerning eye in selecting subjects which we may all see but not notice and interpreting them in unusual ways. .She also   enthusiastically embraces the many creative opportunities that technology has made possible. 

 New York natives but long-time Southern California residents, Elsa and her husband, Dick Gary, now split their time between Brooklyn, N.Y. and Park City, Utah.
